Hostile Environment Close Protection Operations (HECPO)

There are no pre-requisites for this course. This 3-day course generates maximum practical participation by students and is designed to teach a number of SOPs used to deal with possible hostile situations and to give participants an idea of likely in-country induction training they generally receive when they arrive at their new company. The course concentrates on the following skills;

• Firearms Familiarisation
• Firearms Transition Drills
• Foot Movement & Contact Drills
• Vehicle Movement & Contact Drills
• Operational and Contingency Planning
• Trauma (Battlefield) First Aid

This short, sharp and dynamic course is ideally suited for those with little or no background of working as part of a Close Protection Team within hostile and high risk environments. It offers a professional taster of such environments and in turn allows the participant to make an informed choice as to whether or not this line of work suits them. It is also designed as a refresher course for those operatives returning back to work after a long period of rest.

Please note – this course is Dry-Firing using a variety of replica weapons.

Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT)

Our HEAT course is suited for all kinds of official 'frontline' organisations operating in potentially volatile areas and developing countries. Due to the increase of terrorist and militia attacks on non-military targets organisations are now more aware of their legal liabilities and moral responsibilities for the duty of care of those working for them either as employees, contractors or as volunteers. More and more companies have grown to recognise that hostile environment training is really an obligation, and no longer merely an option that should be or can afford to be ignored.

The course is designed to help organisations mitigate risk to their staff and is conducted primarily outdoors whereupon the participants are taught and tested under realistic simulated conditions. We cover a variety of generic subjects which can be completed effectively within 3 days. However, at Impact we prefer to tailor each course focusing on the context of an organisations working environment, therefore allowing participants to complete a course specifically engineered for them. We find this achieves greater results for organisations allowing them to improve on areas of their own concern and any additional areas indicated to them by our security consultant.

We are flexible in our training approach and understand budget constraints especially in this current economic climate. Our training manager can coordinate merged courses for more than one organisation and is able to slot in individual participants. Merged courses can help reduce costs. That said, we are very aware of the sensitivities within certain organisations and respect this, so, no organisations will be merged or external individuals placed on a course without the acceptance of all those involved. Liaison for merged courses will be coordinated centrally by our training manager.

Firearms Training

Complete Firearms Training

This course is suitable for students who have little or no weapons experience.  It is held in the UK and France in compliance with their gun laws.  You will quickly build up a high level of knowledge about weapon safety, weapon and ammunition types and carrying methods, and firing different types of weapons and from different types of firing positions.  

A great course that would suit anybody that is intending to work overseas and needs practical experience of live firing and it will suit people that have attended or are about to attend the SSO course. 

This qualification will be sufficient for any employer to see that you have gained practical live firing experience.

Firearms Refresher & Competency Training

This course is designed for those who have an extensive background in firearms training and are looking to keep their skills upto date. During this course the students will be reminded and revised of the basic weapon skills:

• Normal Safety precautions (NSP's)
• Load & Unload
• Make Ready
• Make Safe
• Stoppage Drills

A variety of weapons are used including:

• AK47
• M4 Assault Rifle
• M4 CQ
• AR15
• SLR

as well as a selection of pistols
